Toilet Paper Dress
So this is the dress I randomly made in about 2 hours worth of cutting, measuring and pinning together. After about another 2 hours it was all sewn together, but that was after this picture was taken. Hope y'all like it(:
Started a sculpting class today(:
Well I signed up for a sculpting class after school today, and it was pretty fun, other than the fact that i wasn't in the zone today so my sculpture ( we are doing paper mache ) turned out HORRIBLE. We had to many a hybrid animal, and I was going to make a hamster with wings, but it turned out looking like a pig instead so now im doing a flying pig... but it still looks awful -__- I am NOT proud of it. And for someone like me, who always wanted their art to be at least pretty to show off, it's HARD. Hopefully it will look prettier after, because as we all know, every piece of art has an ugly stage (:

My boring summer.
Okay well, so far my summer looks completely awful so far. Because I am going to a school in another state ( I live on the border of NH, so it's not too far away ), I have a different summer break schedule then they do. This means I get out on June 22nd, and go back to school on August 21st. That just on the edge of 2 months of summer time. That's not so bad though, right? Wrong! One of those months I decided to take a summer-school course in algebra so I wouldn't get caught behind everyone else ( Math is my worst subject ). Yeah.. it was my decision. But, I made that decision before I knew how short my summer was going to be. So 4 weeks of actual "Summer Break"... yipee :/ Fun right?
Before and After- Hollister dress.
| Sarah modeling the dress |
Okay so this is a perfect example of how you can take a popular clothing items that seems to be everywhere, and make it your own. Hollister has been advertising their new "Crest Canyon" dresses for awhile now, and I see everyone grabbing them on their way to the dressing room to try them on, just for fun. When you look at it on, the first thing you think is " Where am I going to wear this?" Spring semi formal? Graduation maybe? But, then I realized.. the only thing making me think this dress as a "formal" dress was the silly little bow! The bow is adorable, but I decided to take it off just to see. I paired it with a light beige cardigan, and tied a thin light-brown belt around it. Now.. it looked casual! Hope you all like the look!
